Otoplasty is ear surgery typically performed on children but has become equally popular for adults. The surgery involves adjusting the shape or position of the ears due to a defect, trauma or the ears sticking out.
Who is best suited for otoplasty?
Those who feel their ears stick out or are misshapen may be consulted for otoplasty. It can be performed at any age from five upwards once the ears are fully formed. I will determine which type of otoplasty surgery is best for each patient during the first consultation. Incisions are then made on either the back of the ears or on the inner parts of the ears.
